She found her dream job
At her internship with Big Brothers Big Sisters, psychology major Deja Gentry helped match mentors with children who needed positive role models.
She learned valuable career skills, such as teamwork and how to bring out the best in others. It led her to a full time job as a children’s mental health case manager at Valley Community Services Board in Staunton, Va.
Gentry is just one example of how we help prepare our students for life after college. And it’s not just our Office of Career Services—it’s everyone. From professors to coaches to advisors, we all have our eyes open for your child’s next great opportunity.
