“The biggest things we do, we do together and in community.”
Support the area that matters most to you by investing in one of Bridgewater College’s four priority funds that strengthen our campus, students, and educational experience.
Priority Funds

Connected Learning Fund
Support hands-on learning and exceptional teaching.
Bridgewater College students and faculty alike can take advantage of high-impact practices. From strengthening faculty development within the classroom to expanding offerings in research, internships, and study abroad for our students, these transformational learning opportunities ensure success for our graduates.
Teacher-scholars
Transformational teachers are the ethos of Bridgewater College. As models of lifelong learning, Bridgewater’s innovative teacher-scholars continually expand and test what they know, enriching their classrooms with new ideas and perspectives. Investments in our faculty lead to better outcomes for all our students.
Research
The Research Experience at Bridgewater (TREB) provides funding for
students and faculty to partner on research projects during the summer. A robust research program enables students to engage in scholarship in their discipline, explore a subject in depth and communicate their findings effectively—all skills that prepare our students for graduate school or a career.
Study Abroad
Traveling abroad can be a transformational experience for BC students. It extends academic curiosity across geographic borders and cultures and gives them firsthand exposure to critical global issues. Bridgewater students who study abroad are better equipped to find solutions to society’s most pressing needs.
Internships
Internships are an important part of students’ professional growth, linking classroom theory and practical on-the-job application and helping them understand their own professional strengths more clearly. Students apply the knowledge and skills learned in class to real world situations while being mentored by professionals in their chosen industry.

Storied Halls Fund
Enhance the spaces where students live and learn.
Memorial Hall was built in 1890 and is still used today. The spaces and buildings on campus—like Memorial Hall—are updated regularly to adapt to new programs and new teaching and learning initiatives as student needs evolve. You can help ensure the living and learning experience on campus prepares students for success in the world around them.
Place Matters
Place is so much more than new technology and furniture in classrooms; it’s about living and learning together. As it has always been, our “storied halls” are a key component of the BC experience and the success of our students today.
The physical campus—from classrooms and labs to residence halls—is an integral part of the way we serve our mission. Campus is “home” to residential and commuter students alike and ensuring that all our facilities provide the best environment for teaching and learning is critical for student success. Improving campus doesn’t always mean adding new facilities; often it means ensuring the spaces we already have are optimized for the programs our students want and need. The Storied Halls Fund allows us to make continual improvements and upgrades to nurture this special place so that we can nurture the passions and potential of students for generations to come.
Evolution and Exploration
As we approach our 150th anniversary, we are reminded of how much campus has changed as our students and the world has changed. As we look ahead to the next chapter of the BC story, we know our campus will continue to change so that we are always able to meet our students where they are. Old spaces become new again as each new student explores and engages with campus, finding ways to make the BC campus their own as they write their next chapter.

Eagle Fund
Help deserving students access the Bridgewater Experience.
For many students, the financial gap that can make the difference between enrolling –or not– at Bridgewater can be as little as $500-$1,000 a year. Think about the impact you could have by being the difference-maker in a student’s enrollment decision.
Transforming Lives
At Bridgewater College, we believe in the transformative power of education. We foster an environment where students forge lifelong connections with faculty and friends, preparing them for professional success and personal fulfillment.
We know that the rich educational opportunities available at Bridgewater—internships, study abroad, research with faculty mentors, and student leadership opportunities—transform lives. But because of economic challenges, many students who would gain the most from this experience might not be able to be part of the BC community.
Lowering Barriers
By being transparent about the true cost of a Bridgewater education, we are lowering barriers to access and allowing more students to discover the real value of the BC Experience.
Addressing Need
Hundreds of donors over the College’s history have created endowed scholarship funds providing us with an important source of student scholarship funding. By complementing our endowed funds with a robust current-use scholarship fund—the Eagle Fund—we are able to provide scholarship support to many more students, and with greater flexibility, as we address the everchanging needs of our students.

Bridgewater Fund
Give where the need is the greatest.
The full cost of a college education is never covered by tuition alone. The Bridgewater Fund focuses on raising unrestricted dollars that provide resources to help us address our most pressing needs when they arise, supplementing tuition, external grants and endowed funds.
Institutional Trust
Supporting the Bridgewater Fund is a powerful expression of confidence—and trust—in Bridgewater College. By giving to this fund, you signal your commitment to the mission of the College and the success of our students, entrusting us with the opportunity to direct philanthropic resources where the need is truly greatest in that moment.
Possibility Amid Change
The world around us changes every day. Whether in times of turbulent change or relative calm, one thing remains constant: the shared sense of purpose and possibility that connects us to each other and to BC.
And even though campus might look different and the programs we offer might change, the most important thing about Bridgewater College never changes—living and learning in community, educating our students for a life well-lived. This mission is translated in different ways for different times because students are changing every year. But the heart of the BC Experience remains strong, anchoring our sense of community and the transformational nature of a liberal arts education. The Bridgewater Fund allows us to serve our mission with clarity and purpose, providing the very best for our students.
