Members of the community are invited to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with Bridgewater College in the continuation of its annual Martin Luther King Day celebration, “Celebrating the Dream, Continuing the Journey.”
Never a solitary figure, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. always surrounded himself with a host of figures, national and local, many of whom outlived him and carried on the movement. His closest associates, however, afforded him the emotional and intellectual support he sorely needed to become a national leader.
In her 2026 Teach-In, Dr. Vanessa Rouillon will discuss Dr. King’s work and collaborations through the lens of his friendships with some known American figures such as James Baldwin, John Lewis, Medgar Evers, and Rosa Parks.
This event is free and open to the public.
