Keeping It Reel Movie Club: 12 Years a Slave

The Alumni Relations office in partnership with Dr. Gauri Pitale and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are offering a NEW Virtual Movie Club. This powerful virtual series is tailor-made for communicating the BC experience. During Black History Month, our featured movie will be 12 Years a Slave. The movie is based on the 1853 slave memoir by Solomon Northup, an African American man who was kidnapped in Washington, D.C. by two conmen in 1841 and sold into slavery. Please watch the movie and use the provided discussion questions as prompts to prepare you for the virtual discussion.
