Annapolis Maritime Museum & Historical Boat Tour
July 11 , 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Learn about the Annapolis area’s maritime heritage and the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay from both land and water with your host Andy Durdock ’79, a BC Alumni Association Board member. You’ll start your day with a visit to the museum at 12 pm and then hop on board for the heritage boat tour beginning at 1 pm.
Explore Annapolis’s maritime history and Chesapeake Bay ecology aboard the historic Skipjack Wilma Lee. Learn about the city’s boat building industry, Chesapeake Bay Waterman history, and oyster harvesting. Discover local landmarks like Carr’s and Elktonia Beach, Eastport, and the Naval Academy. Guides will highlight native Chesapeake Bay wildlife. Ideal for Bay enthusiasts and professionals. Complimentary water provided onboard.
