Summer Orientation

Start building your connections

Welcome to the BC Community! We are excited you’ve decided to attend Bridgewater and are looking forward to seeing you and your family at Summer Orientation. Prior to registering for your orientation, you need to pay your $300 reservation deposit.

New students enrolling for fall 2020

Summer Orientation is an important first step in becoming a BC Eagle! Although it will be virtual, you will still have the opportunity to engage with faculty, staff and current students through a variety of sessions. Every college approaches orientation differently, but at Bridgewater, orientation happens in two parts: Summer Orientation and Fall Welcome Week. At Summer Orientation, you’ll:

  • Make connections to campus resources as you begin the transition from high school to college.
  • Explore BC’s curriculum as you start the process to register for your fall courses.
  • Connect with an upperclass student who is a Soar Mentor (a student who will work with you during Orientation and throughout the fall semester)
  • Meet other members of the Class of 2024.

Parents and family members, you are also invited to join us to learn more about what it means to have a BC Eagle! You’ll attend a separate Guest Orientation. The sessions provide you the opportunity to meet and hear from campus administrators, faculty, staff and current BC students.  Students and guests do not have to attend an Orientation session on the same day.

Virtual Summer Orientations are two-hour events from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.  After a student attends an Orientation, they and their guests will be able to attend additional bonus sessions throughout the summer.
